Lady Saints nip Converse in key conference contest

The Limestone College women’s soccer team defeated Converse College 2-1 in Conference Carolinas play on Saturday.

The Lady Saints finish the regular season seventh in the conference standings with a 6-5 league record (7-10 overall). The Valkyries stand at 1-10 in the conference (3-17 overall).

Limestone scored its first goal in the opening period as Madi Dulisse carried the ball up the line and then set up Bekki Hagarman for a goal.

Ashley Alderin- Fleagle scored the game-winning goal for the Lady Saints in the second half. She took the ball up the flank, cut it in and shot the ball over the Converse goalkeeper.
