Joel Wayne Quinn, 46, of 131 Quail Run, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Lenoir, N.C., he was the husband of Patricia Owensby Quinn and son of Shirley Mize Peterson of Granite Falls, N.C., and the late Roy Wayne Quinn. He was em-ployed by SuminoeTextiles of America, a U. S. Army veteran and of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, A.J. Quinn of the home; a brother, Tony Allen Quinn of Granite Falls; two sisters, Heidi Miller and husband, Aaron, and Ginger Gutierrez and husband, Miguel, all of Granite Falls; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Tuesday at Blakely Funeral Home from 2-3 p.m. Services immediately followed at 3 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mickey Mullinax officiating. Interment was in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the residence.
