SPARTANBURG – Tecora Hunter Oliver, 83, widow of Roosevelt Oliver, of 1311 Denton Road, died Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Daughter of the late Trossie and Addie Tucker Hunter, she was a member of Island Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are four children, George Oliver, Melvin Oliver, Shirley Armstrong (Watson), Peggy White (Russell); 12 grandchildren, including Rashan Oliver, Teron White, Santrisa Oliver, Shannon Oliver and Michael Armstrong, raised in the home; seven greatgrandchildren; four brothers, Jacob, Bennie, Columbus and Lincoln Hunter; and four sisters; Ceola Posey, Ruby Brackett, Gladys Johnson and Judy Foster.

Services will be held Thursday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at Island Creek Baptist Church with Dr. J.W. Sanders Sr. officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
