Gaffney head coach Phil Strickland will have some company at the North- South All-Star game.
Strickland, who will coach the North, will be joined by wide receiver Joe Craig and linebacker Chris Adams.
For the season, Craig, who has committed to Clemson, has 19 catches for 299 yards. He’s also rushed for 111 yards on 12 carries and three touchdowns. Craig injured his hand but is expected to play with a cast.
“Early on he was double teamed that allowed some other people to get open,” Strickland said.
Adams has emerged as a team leader with more than 100 tackles and three fumble recoveries.
“He’s done a real solid job for us,” Strickland said.
Nine other area players have been selected to play in the 62nd Annual South Carolina Automobile Dealers Association North- South All-Star football game Dec. 12 in Myrtle Beach, including Byrnes quarterback Chas Dodd and defensive end Brandon Willis, Greer running back Dominique Parks and offensive lineman Kenneth Ramey and Spartanburg linebackers Andre Whitmire and Kelvin Wilkins are on the North squad.
Joe Craig
Chapman tight end Justin Burrell, Dorman offensive lineman Jake Morris and Woodruff quarterback Jake Lambert will also play on the North team.
The South team defeated the North 24- 14 last year.
