2 named to all-star game
      Gaffney head coach Phil Strickland will have some company at the North- South All-Star game. Strickland, who will coach the North, will be joined by wide receiver Joe Craig and linebacker Chris Adams.

Indians in points race for playoffs
      You might want to keep your eraser handy, but it appears Gaffney will open the playoffs at home against Blythewood. A win over Northwestern on Friday and a victory by Union over Chapin, would likely give the Indians 36 points and either a sixth or seventh seed in the Class 4A Division I playoffs.

Greene in Heartland but heart still in Gaffney
      It may be called America’s Heartland, but Trevon Greene’s heart has never left Gaffney. Greene has starred for William Penn University, located in central Iowa. As a junior last season, he earned second-team all-conference honors and was named the team’s most valuable defensive player with 93 tackles.

Limestone advances with shutout of Mt. Olive
      The No. 2-seeded Limestone College Saints advanced to the semifinals of the Conference Carolinas men’s soccer tournament with a 3-0 shutout over No. 7 Mount Olive in the first round of postseason competition on Tuesday at Saints Field. Limestone’s record moves to 13-4 overall as the Trojans see their season end with a 6-10-1 record.

      Lady Saints upset Pfeiffer Limestone College's Bekki Hagarman led the No. 7-seeded Lady Saints to a 1-0 upset over second-seeded Pfeiffer with her goal in the 42nd minute in the first round of the Conference Carolinas women's soccer tournament on Monday.
