Bethel Baptist holds 12th annual Women’s Conference

Bethel Baptist Church held its 12th annual Women’s Conference on Saturday, Aug. 22.

Beginning at 9 a.m. with breakfast, Andrienna Montgomery led the praise team with songs. Other conference leaders included Rachel Vanlue, Minister Cathy Neal and Minister Jennifer Hemphill.

Topics and their speakers were: “Bad to the Bones,” Kim Graham; “The First Bad Girl,” Minister Wyonnia McKissick; “Tears of a Clown: Bad Not Condemned,” Rev. Antoinette Gardner; and “Seeking Love in the Wrong Places,” Minister Anita Sullivan. Other facilitators were Evangelist LaQuanda and Phyllis Shaw.

In conjunction with the conference, a pajama party for the women was held on Friday, Aug. 14, from 7-9:30 p.m. Games, a rap session, refreshments and prizes were enjoyed.
