On Friday, October 2 Hamrick’s once again participated in Lee National Denim Day. This annual event, sponsored by the Lee Corporation, raises money for the fight against breast cancer. Since its inception, this program has raised more than $75 million to fund breast cancer research.
Lee specifies the first Friday in October to promote the fight against breast cancer. All participants allow their employees to go casual and wear denim that Friday and show their support with donations and pink ribbons. This year’s event was held on Friday, October 2.
Hamrick’s also involves their customers in this worthy cause. With every Lee jean purchased that weekend, Hamrick’s donated $5 to the Women’s Cancer Program of EIF.
Since Hamrick’s started participating in this event they have donated over $100,000. Hamrick’s Marketing Manager Linda Tracy states, “This event is a wonderful way for Hamrick’s to get involved and to give back to the community.”
Hamrick’s is a family owned retail clothing store that operates 20 stores in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia. The Corporate Office is located in Gaffney, South Carolina.
