POLICE REPORT
About $2,700 in property was reported stolen following a burglary on Gaston Farm Road.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone broke into four buildings on a property in the 200 block and took a John Deere chain saw, a Poulan chain saw, four guitars, a banjo, a set of truck air horns and several fishing rods and reels.
Police said the burglar( s) also damaged a big screen television.
The burglaries occurred between 6 p.m. Nov. 4 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 5.
The Gaffney Police Department charged a 29-year-old 9th Street man with possession of an unlawful weapon following the investigation of a shots-fired call Nov. 5.
According to a police report, officers were dispatched to Marion Avenue and North Logan Street at about 2:50 p.m. regarding a report of a fight with shots fired.
Police said they found Isaac Oneal Sarratt, 29, of 9th Street, in the 100 block of Marion Avenue. When questioned, Sarratt allegedly admitted to the officer he had a gun. Police found a .22-caliber handgun in his waistband during a subsequent frisk, the report states.
