Boyce J. McAbee, 84, 209 Rolling Mill Road, died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at his home.

Mr. McAbee was the widower of Ruby Mullinax McAbee. A son of the late Thomas and Annie Harris McAbee, he was the last surviving child of 13 children. He was a lifelong member of Mount Ararat Baptist Church and was retired from Cherokee Finishing. He loved fishing and gardening.

Mr. McAbee is survived by three sons, Boyce E. McAbee and wife, Dale, Dickie R. McAbee and Kenneth Wayne McAbee and wife, Donna, all of Gaffney; a daughter, Judy Lanier and husband, Charles Wayne, of Gaffney; five grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his 12 siblings.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, Nov. 9, at 2 p.m., graveside, at Mount Ararat Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tommy Wright officiating.

Pallbearers will be Steven Lanier, Dennis McAbee, Brian McAbee, Greg McAbee, Travis Mullinax and Foy Lee Ramsey.

Visitation was held Sunday, Nov. 8, from 6-8 p.m. at White Columns of Blacksburg.

The family is at the home.
