(Ledger photo / TIM GULLA) Two women were rushed to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center on Tuesday afternoon after they were ejected from an overturned Jeep on Goucher School Road.

Lance Cpl. Jeff Gaskin of the South Carolina Highway Patrol identified the driver as 29-yearold Karen Jackson of Goforth Drive. A passenger in the vehicle was identified as Angela Bolick, 25, of Baker Lane, Pacolet.

A spokesperson at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center had no information on either woman as of press time Tuesday. First Responders had initially inquired about calling in a helicopter for transportation but the weather was deemed too bad to airlift the women.

Gaskin said the women were not restrained at the time of the wreck. Only one vehicle was involved.

Gaskin said Jackson’s 1994 Jeep Wrangler was going north on Goucher School Road when she ran off the right side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned. He said she was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

Goucher White Plains Volunteer Fire Department responded to the wreck along with paramedics from Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
