“The Living Gift Nativity” will be presented on the lawn of the Cherokee County History & Arts Museum, in Gaffney, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5.

The live nativity is being provided by Central Baptist Church and will include live animals and free refreshments. New and used coats and blankets will be collected for the Soup Kitchen and Harbor of Hope nonprofits of Cherokee County.

The live nativity is a part of the CHAPS Christmas Drop-In. The Drop-In will begin at 2 p.m. and end at 8 p.m. Santa Claus will be in the Museum from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and photo packages from Portraits by Angela will be available. The $15 package will include a 5x7 and four wallets.

Guests will be able to visit the Christmas Shop inside the Museum which features unique gift items, including a limited number of Giclee prints of the 90 ft. Revolutionary War mural inside the Museum exhibit hall. Other items include books by local authors, notecards, and CHAPS special blend Southern Pecan and Irish Cream coffees.

Prints of the Mack Lee Davis painting Mulberry Moment, a beautiful winter scene at the historic Mulberry Chapel, will be available, with all proceeds going to the restoration work CHAPS is conducting at the site.

Also open will be the Museum’s new Military Service Exhibit honoring local servicemen, including Lance Corporal Christopher Scott Fowlkes.
