 A 27-year-old Cherokee Ford Road woman is charged with assault and battery with intent to kill for allegedly stabbing her own mother.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, police were called to the 100 block of Cherokee Ford Road, near Blacksburg, on Nov. 17 at about 9:45 p.m.

It is alleged that Amy Sanita Moore, 27, used a knife to injure her mother and father.

Chief Deputy Joel Hill couldn’t say exactly what transpired but said after further investigation Moore was charged only in relation to her mother’s injury.

 A burglar or burglars stole more than $3,500 in tools from a West Floyd Baker Boulevard construction site.

According to the Gaffney Police Department, someone broke into an office and locked chest at a construction site in the 1500 block and stole various tools, including Makita and Bosch hammer drills, DeWalt and Milwaukee saws, drill bits, power cords and engineering tapes.

Theft losses are estimated at $3,583 while property damage is estimated at $500.

The equipment was owned by Morgan Construction of Chattanooga, Tenn.

 The Gaffney Police Department served three arrest warrants on a Spartanburg woman Nov. 18, accusing her of third or subsequent offense property crimes.

According to the warrants, Dreamer Denise Miller, 33, of Beacon Street, Spartanburg, possessed clothing stolen from the Polo, Justice and Aeropostale stores at Prime Outlets — Gaffney on Nov. 18.

An incident report related to the arrest was not immediately available.

 A motorcycle was reported stolen from a Speedway Road property.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone took a 2001 Suzuki 125 cc motorcycle from a property in the 100 block between 11:30 p.m. Nov. 17 and 9:30 a.m. Nov. 18.

The yellow-colored motorcycle had a black seat. It is valued at $2,000.

 The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an assault on Cherokee Avenue.

According to a police report, a man suffered a laceration to his hand when an unknown subject cut him with a knife at about 2:35 a.m. in the 100 block.

 The Gaffney Police Department reported an attempted break-in on Oak Street.

According to a police report, a homeowner in the 700 block found her front door partially pried open Nov. 15. An alarm was sounding at the home as well.

Police said nothing appeared missing from the interior.

Damage is estimated at $50.

 About $1,000 in vandalism damage was reported to a vehicle on Redwood Circle.

According to the Gaffney Police Department, someone scratched the hood, trunk, and all four doors of a 1996 Nissan parked in the 100 block between 11 p.m. Nov. 16 and 2 p.m. Nov. 17.

 A thief or thieves stole nearly $1,500 in electronics from a vehicle on Musgrove Street.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone broke out a window to gain entry to a Chevrolet truck parked in the 100 block between 11 p.m. Nov. 16 and 11:30 a.m. Nov. 17.

Missing were an Xbox 360 game system and about 30 Xbox games.

 Almost $5,000 in personal property and electronics were reported stolen following the burglary of an Old Metal Road home.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone broke into a home in the 1100 block between Nov. 15 and Nov. 17 and took a 62- inch Mitsubishi television, two 10-inch speaker boxes, two electric floor heaters and an Applebrand computer.

 The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office reported the arrest of a California man for criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature following a Nov. 17 incident at an Interstate 85 rest area.

According to a police report, Steven Gordon Phillips, 57, of Samantha Court, Tracy, Calif., allegedly assaulted a 57-year-old woman by running into her with his truck at the South Carolina Welcome Center at the 103 Mile Marker.

Police said the woman had a bruise on her leg and swelling around her knee.

 The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office reported the theft of a weapon from a Chesnee Highway home recently.

According to a police report, someone entered a home in the 2800 block between Nov. 14 and Nov. 15 and took a 7.62 mm rifle from a closet.

The rifle is valued at $100.
