There is good news

Jetline has begun hiring with 29 now on the job

When Jetline founder and president Eric Levin was introduced to local and state dignataries last month, he touted the number of jobs his company would create.

He wasn’t kidding.

Jetline, which manufactures more than 1,000 promotional products that can be printed with company logos, has already hired 29 workers for its production line, according to South Carolina Employment Commission Area Director Karen Lawson.

Another seven to eight workers are being trained at Spartanburg Community College’s Gaffney campus to serve in the company’s customer service department, Lawson said.

The company, at present, has stopped taking applications through the employment commission, but Lawson said she expects the hiring process to resume when the company installs more machines at the 145,000 square-foot former Oxford plant on Hyatt Street.
