Retired teacher

Beulah Smith Richardson, 80, of 136 Cheval Trail, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, at her residence.

Born in Peoples, Ohio, she was the widow of the Rev. Ronald O. Richardson and daughter of the late Rev. Carl Smith and Edna Marie Peeno Smith. She was a retired teacher, working with the Head Start program in Illinois, and was a homemaker, and active in the Senior Centers of Cherokee County. Mrs. Richardson was a member of Park Hills Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Senior Adult Ladies Sunday School Class.

Surviving are three sons, Ronald D. Richardson and wife, Debbie, of Concord, N.C., Jeffrey Richardson and wife, Mara, of Gaffney and John Mark Richardson and wife, Linda, of Gaffney; two daughters, Sharon Fitzpatrick and husband, Tim, of Huntington, W.Va., and Donna Taylor and husband, Tom, of Springfield, Mo.; four sisters, Emma Jean Horner of Shelbyville, Ind., Edith Arritt and husband, Ronald, of Covington, Va., Ethel Smith of Covington, Va., and Dorothy Bowen and husband Theodore, also of Covington, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 11 greatgrandchildren.

Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Smith Jr., and a granddaughter, Angela Fitzpatrick.

Services will be held in Covington, Va.

The family will be at the residence.
