Celina Lindsay
Apostle Celina Harris Lindsay, 60, of 204 Serene Drive, died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009, in Mary Black Hospital, Spartanburg.
Wife of Ernest E. Lindsay Sr., she was born in Gaffney, a daughter of Benjamin Joe Harris of Chesapeake, Va., and the late Fannie Montgomery Littlejohn. She was founder and pastor of Zion Hill Ministries.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Marshal Lindsay (Judy) of Gaffney, Ernest Lindsay II (Tanja) of Missouri and Joseph Lindsay Sr. (Elizabeth) of Gaffney; two daughters, Florence Morgan and Celinda Lindsay, both of Gaffney; 19 grandchildren; several greatgrandchildren; six sisters, Joann Ellis (Maurice), Guynita Littlejohn, Lesey Littlejohn, Brenda Marlowe (David), Peggy Wood, all of Gaffney, and Adrienne Williams of Chesapeake, Va.; four brothers, Charles Harris (Gloria) of Spartanburg, Bennie Littlejohn Jr. (Verna), Carlton Littlejohn (Tamara), all of Gaffney, and Jackie Littlejohn of Chesapeake, Va.
Services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Ministries with the Rev. James Richard officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens. Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
