PRIDE AND TRADITION

2009-11-25 / Local News

I'll take eggs and bacon served up with a heaping side of Gaffney Indian pride! Wilma Camp isn't just a friendly face who cooks up some tasty food at the Mr. Waffle near Interstate 85 exit 95, she's also a big fan of the Gaffney Indians. A tradition for the past few years now, Camp wears her Indian headdress at work every time the Indians play. On one hand, it's a show of support for the hometown team. On the other hand, Camp hopes the headdress is also a good luck charm. It must have worked Friday night as the Indians beat Summerville.
