Elizabeth Price Delashmet, 70, of 528 Fairview Road, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009, at her residence.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of Ancil Eugene (Sonny) Delashmet Sr. and daughter of the late D. Frank Price Sr. and Polly Sparks Price. She was retired from the Department of Social Services, a homemaker and member of Cherokee Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Barry Lynn Humphries and wife, Pamela, and Ancil Eugene Delashmet Jr. and wife, Christie, all of Gaffney; a sister, Brenda Vassy and husband, Mike, of Gaffney; and three grandchildren, Kayla Delashmet, Cole Delashmet and Chase Delashmet.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 27, from 1-2 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home. Services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in Blakely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Frazier officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cherokee Creek Baptist Church, 502 Buck Shoals Road, Gaffney, SC 29341; or Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1886, Gaffney, SC 29342.
