Ezera Thompson, 67, of 211-A Dogwood Drive, died Thursday, Nov. 26, 2009, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Wife of James Thompson, she was born in Cherokee County, daughter of the late Ebb Davis and the late Bessie Linder Davis. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by a brother, George William Davis, and a sister, Rebecca Davis.

Surviving are a longtime special friend, Horace Wilkins; two sons, Windell Thompson of the home and Walter Leverette of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Barbara Jeter (Alonzo) of Gaffney; a brother, Joe Louis Davis (Betty) of Gaffney; seven sisters, Clara P. Davis of Ohio, Mary Fernanders, Parnice Jefferies (James), Burdie Garnett (Samuel), Amogene Byers, all of Gaffney, Christine Reaves of Detroit, Mich., and Alice Davis of Texas; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held Monday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with the Rev. C.A. Wallace officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m.
