Burglar targets occupied home
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office reported that a burglar broke a window to gain access to an occupied home on Bolin Road in Blacksburg.
According to a police report, the incident occurred at about 8:20 p.m. Nov. 24 in the 100 block.
The victim heard what sounded like someone beating on a back door and then heard a loud noise come from a bedroom area. The victim started yelling out that police were being called and heard nothing else, according to the report.
Police said they found a window had been broken out and that an Xbox video game system valued at $400 was missing from the home.
