Limestone Community Chorus will sing classic Christmas music at Dec. 9 Music Sandwiched-In
The Limestone Community Chorus will give a Music Sandwiched-In Christmas concert Wednesday, Dec. 9, at the Cherokee County Public Library.
The Limestone Community Chorus will present the Cherokee County Public Library’s Christmas “Music Sandwiched-In” concert on Wednesday, Dec. 9, from 12:15-1 pm.
Under the direction of Gena Poovey, Department Chair of Arts and Letters at Limestone, the chorus will perform classic Christmas selections for the library's annual Christmas program.
In June, 2010, the chorus is planning a concert tour of Salzburg, Austria.
Kenny Covington, PR/adult programmer at the library, is very excited to have Dr. Poovey and the chorus perform for the library because of the standard of excellence that they have exhibited over the years.
"I am so pleased that they would honor us with a performance this December and feel that this area is lucky to have such a talented group,” said Covington.
The library welcomes the public to come hear the chorus and enjoy a free lunch.
