SHADY GROVE HONORS SENIORS – Shady Grove Baptist Church had Senior Citizen's Day and honored those age 70 and over during a special program recently. Honored were (first row, lr) John Hubert Pearson (Burris), Dean Dover, Edna Dover, Minnie Hush, the Rev. London C. Knuckles, Mary Elnora Littlejohn; (second row) Minister Albert Richardson, Pastor Lee Byers Jr. and the Rev. Warren Manning, associate minister of White Plains Baptist Church who also sang. Not pictured are Josephine Wood, "Mother of Church," Agnes Dover, Charles Dover, Arthur Dover and Minnie Leach. Rev. Knuckles, retired pastor and "Father of the Church," delivered the message and all honorees received a special Christmas ornament, a gift bag of goodies and a plaque.
