POLICE REPORT

 The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office seized more than $22,000 in cash and six video poker machines during investigations of gambling at two local businesses Dec. 1.

According to one police report released by the sheriff’s office on Thursday, Capt. David Oglesby and other agents first went to a convenience store at 1767 Cliffside Highway at about 4:30 p.m. in response to complaints about video poker and seized three video poker machines, payout slips and $2,021 in cash.

At about 6:30 p.m., according to a second police report, Oglesby and other agents went to Jones Crafts in the 1600 block of Cherokee Avenue where they seized three video poker machines, payout slips and $22,000.

 About $1,000 in vandalism damage was reported on Martin Lane.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone spraypainted and keyed the paint on a vehicle parked in the 100 block between 7:30 a.m. Dec. 1 and 11 a.m. Dec. 2.
