Joyce Lorena Hughes, 83, of Gaffney, formerly of Pacolet, died Sunday, Dec. 13, 2009, at Peachtree Centre.

Born April 23, 1926, in Pacolet, she was the daughter of the late Edward Milton and Annie Halford Hughes. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Pacolet.

Survivors include a sister, Sarah Sanders, of Gaffney and a large number of nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Dec. 16, at 11:30 a.m. in Pacolet Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Angelia P. Price. Visitation will follow the service at the graveside.
