William Rion Moss, formerly of 208 West Carolina St., Apt A-1, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2009, at Brookview Healthcare Center.

Born in Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Forrest Moss and Bessie Childers Moss. Mr. Moss was retired from the City of Blacksburg and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a sister, Betty Martin and husband, Howard, of Wellford; a special nephew, David White and wife, Belinda, of Blacksburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moss was preceded in death by a brother, Glenn Moss, and two sisters, Geraldine White and Mildred Daw.

The family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Blakely Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Bolin officiating. Memorials may be made to the family at 505 Rock Springs Road, Blacksburg, SC 29340.

The family will be at his residence.
