Todd leads Lady Saints past St. Andrews, 94-64 The Limestone College women's basketball team defeated conference-rival St. Andrews 94-64 on Monday night at the Timken Center. The Lady Saints climb to 5-4 with the victory (3-1 Conference Carolinas). Whitney Todd led all scorers with her season-high 22 points. She also posted a game-high 7 boards. Limestone's Blanca Gonzalez scored 19 points and was 5-7 from behind the arc and 2-2 from the foul line. Addie Graves had 14 points, while Lauren Pace and Breanna Ray combined to dish out 13 assists or the Lady Saints. St. Andrews' Kristen Zipken led her team with 19 points, followed by Franchaze Waters' 14 points. While the Knights' Zipken scored the first basket of the game, the lead would be short-lived for the visitors. Limestone charged ahead to tie the game on its next scoring chance, and then took the lead for the rest of the half. The Lady Saints shot well in the first half, going 20-31 for a field-goal percentage of 64.5 percent. Limestone hosts Lees- McRae on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at the Timken Center. |
