Cornelia Richardson Ramsey, 79, of 330 Filter Plant Road, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Jan. 11, 2010, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center.

Born in Gaffney, she was the wife of James D. “Hot Shot” Ramsey and daughter of the late Frank Richardson and Judy Bell Ruppe Richardson. She was retired from Monsanto and was a member of East Gaffney Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Barbara Davis of Gaffney and Caroline Piasio of Savannah, Ga.; two sisters, Juanita Broome and Brenda Greene, both of Gaffney; six grandchildren, Marcia Davis, Kent Davis, Jay Davis, Tiffany Eubanks, Jennifer Piasio and Jonathan Piasio; seven great-grandchildren, Isaac Eubanks, Madisyn Davis, Emery Davis, Jordan Davis, Hope Eubanks, Noah Eubanks and Ella Eubanks.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 13, from 2:30-3 p.m. at East Gaffney Baptist Church. Services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. at the church with the Revs. Ronell Owensby and Jerry McKee officiating. Interment will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at the home of Barbara Davis, 139 Berry Drive.
