Roy Dean Bell
Roy Dean Bell, 67, of 147 Deerwood Lane, died Saturday, Jan. 9, 2010, at his home.
Born Dec. 28, 1942, in Kings Mountain, N.C., he was the son of the late Robert Marcus and Peralie Mae McGinnis

of the late
Barbara Sue Curry Bell. He was retired from the Civil Service and the U.S. Air Force, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Gaffney, the Air Force Sergeants Association, VFW and American Legion.
Survivors include a son, Roy Kenneth Bell and his wife, Mary, of Petersburg, Va.; a granddaughter, Kiara Michelle Bell of Gaffney; three brothers, James R. Bell and Troy G. Bell, both of Taylorsville, N.C., and John C. Bell of Statesville, N.C.; and two sisters, Judy Childers of Cherryville, N.C., and Trudy Bumgarner of Lincolnton, N.C.
Graveside services with full military honors will be held Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 11 a.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Terry E. Pleasant.
Visitation was held Tuesday, Jan. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church Children’s Fund, 2929 Cherokee Ave., Gaffney, SC 29340.
