Lady Indians sweep past Union; improve to 9-3
The Gaffney Lady Indians weren’t at their best on Tuesday. But they didn’t need to be to beat a youthful Union County and sweep the season series.
Logan Davis continued her strong play with a team-high 14 points as the Lady Indians improved to 9-3 with a 56-31 victory.
Paris Davidson added 12 and Kierra Phillips chipped in with 10 for the Lady Indians.
Union County stayed close in the early going but the Lady Indians began scoring inside to pull away in the second half.
“We started out sluggish and had quite a few turnovers,” Gaffney asssistant coach Susan Wade said. “But we settled down in the second half and started to play our game.”
Gaffney steps back into conference play on Friday at Nation Ford.
