GHS grad deployed to SW Asia

Air Force Senior Airman Trayshawn R. Humphries has deployed to Southwest Asia to serve in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and/or Operation Enduring Freedom.

Operation Iraqi Freedom is the official name given to military operations involving members of the U.S. armed forces and coalition forces participating in efforts to free and secure Iraq.

Operation Enduring Freedom is the official name given to anti-terrorism military operations involving U.S. troops and allied coalition partners.

Humphries, a security forces member, is regularly assigned to the 633rd Security Forces Squadron, Langley Air Force Base, Va. He has served in the military for four years.

He is the son of Rechalle O. and Patricia A. Davis, and nephew of Debbie D. Martines, all of Mint Lane, Blacksburg, S.C.

His uncle, Carlos Martinez, resides in Blacksburg.

The airman is a 2005 graduate of Gaffney High School, S.C.
