Lady Saints win streak at five and counting

The Limestone College women’s basketball team climbed to 11-8 overall with a 54-37 win over Lees-McRae College on Wednesday night.

The Bobcats fall to 2-15 overall (2-11 league) with the Conference Carolinas result.

The Saints have an 8-5 conference record after their fifth straight win.

Limestone’s Lauren Pace had a gamehigh 13 points to go along with 4 assists and 3 steals.

Tia Williams scored 15 points and Ashley Robinson had 10 for the Lady Saints.

Brittany Miller hauled in 8 boards while Maria Young recorded 7 rebounds for the Lady Saints.

Colette Montgomery had 13 points for the Bobcats, while Lauren Casey scored 10. Montgomery pulled down a gamehigh 9 rebounds.

Limestone led 32-35 at the half.

The Lady Saints outrebounded their hosts 40-34.

Limestone also converted 23 Lady Bobcat turnovers into 25 points.

Limestone had 24 points from 3-pointers, going 8 for 19, or 42 percent, from behind the arc.
