Rob Asselin
Born in Denver, Colo., he was the husband of Margaret Butler Humphries Asselin and son of the late Elgin Layton Asselin and Mary Cecilia Corl Asselin. He was employed by Beverage Air, a graduate of Saratoga High School in California, a veteran and a member of Buford Street United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jason Robert Asselin of Delphi, Ind.; a daughter, Tracy Mabry Hughey and husband, Scott, of Gaffney; a brother, Ronald Lee Asselin and wife, Barbara, of Spartanburg; five grandchildren, Christopher Scott Hughey, Jeffrey Blake Hughey, Hunt-er Alexander Hughey, Ethan James Wood and Jayson Dale Asselin; a sister and brother-in-law, Harold and Mary Brenda Wood of Gaffney; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Sunday, Feb. 7, from 2-3 p.m. at Buford Street United Methodist Church. Memorial services immediately followed at 3 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Joseph James and the Rev. Robert L. Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buford Street United Methodist Church “Family Life Center,” 120 E. Buford St., Gaffney, SC 29340.
