Wildcats clinch playoff spot with win over Whitmire

The Blacksburg Wildcats extended their season with a 57- 47 victory at Whitmire on Thursday.
Darrell Walton had 11 points and J.J. Lattimore had 10 as the Wildcats clinched a playoff spot.
Blacksburg built its lead to double digits in the third quarter and sealed the win with seven free throws in the final minutes.
Less than 24 hours later, the Wildcats shot poorly in a 52-18 loss at Christ Church on Friday.
Blacksburg could clinch the region’s No. 3 seed by beating Southside Christian on Thursday and duplicating that feat in a matchup on Friday.
