GREENVILLE – The Progressive National Baptist Convention Upstate Missions Department along with the PNBC South Carolina Fellowship organized a community worship service on behalf of the Haitians devastated by the massive earthquake over a month ago.

The service, "Have a Heart For Haiti," was held Valentine's Day at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, where the Rev. Terry A. King serves as pastor. He is also the PNBC Southern Region Missions Department Director.

Dr. Ronald Barton, pastor of Shady Oak Baptist Church, was the guest preacher. In his message, titled "Dealing With The Least Of These," Dr. Barton stressed the importance to always be mindful of those that are in need. The event raised $10,000 to send to the PNBC Haiti Relief Fund.
