Fund raiser

A bake sale sponsored by the JoyLites and Southland Trubadores will be held Saturday, March 13, at Masonic Lodge 117 on Dr. L.M. Rosemond Lane. The sale begins at 9 a.m. and continues until it’s all gone. Fish plates are $6; hot dogs plates, $5.50 (two hot dogs); and chitterlings plate, $6.50. All plates include baked beans, slaw, dessert and drink. Fish sandwiches, hot dogs, chitterling bowl, pound cake, sodas and water will also be sold. Special event for women

A Tuesday Ladies’ Celebration is set for Tuesday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m. in First Baptist Life Center. Call 489-6064 to reserve your ticket. Guest speaker will be Vonda Skelton, an entertaining teacher and speaker with a heart for women and their families. With topics ranging from marriage to children, and spiritual growth to seasons of life, she has something special for every facet of women’s ministry.
