 A Lyman man was robbed of $180 in cash at the Prime Outlets — Gaffney on March 6.

According to the Gaffney Police Department, a 50-year-old Lyman man had withdrawn money from an ATM at the mall and was counting his money when another man approached from behind and snatched the money from the victim’s hand.

The thief, who was described as a black male with dreadlocks, got into a white Pontiac and fled the scene.

 The Gaffney Police Department said a driveby shooting on Marion Avenue on March 6 resulted in about $600 in property damage.

According to a police report, a homeowner in the 400 block was inside his home at about 10:40 p.m. when he heard popping noises.

The homeowner went outside and discovered several holes in his siding and screen door. Police said a pellet was found in one of the holes and that there were seven holes overall.

 The Gaffney Police Department responded to a shots-fired call in the area of Apple Alley and Hickory Street on March 7.

According to a police report, a witness said a subject in a red car with a sunroof, possibly a Pontiac, fired several shots in the air at about 10:40 p.m.

No injuries or damage was reported.

 More than $2,000 in electronics and jewelry were reported stolen following the burglary of a Northgate Road apartment March 8.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone forced entry to the apartment in the 100 block between 6:30 a.m. and 11;30 p.m. and took a 42-inch Vizio television, a 32-inch LG television, a Nintendo Wii game system, four Nintendo games and a necklace.

 More than $5,800 in property was reported stolen following the burglary of a Lake Tree Road home.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone forced entry to the home in the 200 block between March 3 and March 8 and took $4,300 in electronics, $400 in yard equipment, $275 in power tools, $200 in cash, a gun valued at $200 and a motor valued at $500.

 A 52-year-old man was taken for medical treatment Mach 6 following a stabbing incident on Woodland Road.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, 46-yearold Rose Marie Smith, of North Limestone Street, was charged with assault and battery with intent to kill in connection with the alleged incident, which occurred at about 8:40 p.m.

In a report, police said the 52-year-old victim was stabbed about the stomach area with a kitchen knife. Police said the victim was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

 A GPS navigation unit and a fireman’s dashboard emergency light were reported stolen following a vehicle break-in on Cherokee Avenue.

The incident occurred between 10 p.m. March 7 and 6:30 a.m. March 8 in the 2500 block. The thief or thieves took a TomTom GPS unit and a dashboard light, as well as a Maglite flashlight valued at a combined $485.

 The Gaffney Police Department served an arrest warrant on March 8 accusing a 29-year-old Chesterfield man with a third or subsequent offense of property crime.

According to the warrant, Phillip Lee Brown, of Huntsmill Road, Chesterfield, did take or carry away merchandise belonging to the CVS pharmacy on West Buford Street on March 8.

 A vehicle parked on Peachoid Road sustained an estimated $150 in damage March 8.

According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, someone smashed a car window as a vehicle was parked in the 700 block.

The incident was discovered when the car owner got off work at about 4:30 p.m.
