MARCH FOR MEALS – Daddy Joe's Beach House BBQ & Grill will host a benefit for Meals on Wheels – “So No Senior Goes Hungry” – on Sunday, March 21, from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. In the photo, Rae Whisenant, MOW's board member, serves tea to MOW's volunteer drivers Millie and Winford McCraw at last year's event. Daddy Joe's is located on Floyd Baker Boulevard. You can dine in or carry out. The buffet includes barbecue, Calabash chicken, slaw and barbecue slaw, baked beans and hush puppies. Adult buffet tickets are $10 and need to be purchased in advance; children's plates of chicken and fries (children's tickets can be purchased at door) are $5. Bake sale items provided by WMUs and women's groups will also be for sale. Tickets are available at the Meals on Wheels office and from members of the Board of Directors; phone 864-487-2730.
