More than $4,000 in electronics were reported stolen following a burglary on Holly Ridge Road in Blacksburg.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, three unknown subjects were seen leaving the rear of a home in the 1100 block as the homeowner’s boyfriend approached it March 5 at about 10:30 p.m.
Taken from the home were a 62-inch television, a Dell laptop computer, a computer scanner/printer, paintings and china.
Police were told that one of the subjects had a red goatee, one had buzz cut hair and one had spiked hair.
Earlier the same day, police were told that two unknown subjects were run off at gunpoint from the property after they were found going through tools in a carport at the home.
A moped was reported stolen from a Rose Street storage building following a break-in.
The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office reported that someone forced entry to a storage building in the 100 block between March 4 and March 5 and took a blue Peace 50 cc moped valued at $900.
A South Green River Road, Cowpens, property owner reported an estimated $1,600 in vandalism March 8 after someone entered a property and slashed the tires on four vehicles.
According to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred in the 600 block.
A possible suspect, who had a confrontation with the property owner the day before the tires were slashed, was described in the report but no charges were announced.
The Gaffney Police Department was asked to investigate the theft of $100 from a deposit made to the Gaffney Board of Public Works.
A South Johnston Street resident told police he dropped a payment of $126.25 in cash in the BPW drop box on March 5. The envelope contained six $20 bills, a $1 coin and a quarter. The resident was subsequently advised by the BPW that it only received one $20 bill, a $1 coin and quarter and that $100 was missing.
