BLACKSBURG – Kathy Phipps Latham, 47, of 705 W. Lime St., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Upstate Carolina Medical Center after a brief illness.

Born Sept. 3, 1962, in Union, she was the daughter of Shirley P. Moss of the home and the late James Wade Phipps.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Amber Dover and husband, Chris, of Blacksburg and Donna Latham of Chesnee; a sister, Tina Robbins and husband, Mike, of Blacksburg; and five grandchildren, Erica Lawson, Brandon Lawson, Isaac James Latham, Makalya Dover and Christopher Dover.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Blacksburg with the Rev. Russell Jones officiating.
