Kendra Moniquez Fernanders, 21, of 100 Huntington Square Drive, Apt. 3-D, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010, at 4 p.m. at her home.

Daughter of Elizabeth Fernanders of the home, she was born Aug. 8, 1988, in Gaffney. She was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Fair, and a grandmother, Straucy Foster.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by three sisters, Alexis Fernanders, Brittany Fair and Nicole Fernanders, all of Gaffney; three grandparents, Carolyn Fernanders of Gaffney and J.W. and Sarah Curtis of High Point, N.C.; 12 aunts, Dee Herndon (Reginald), Sarah Kirby (Calvin), Mildred Byers (Laramie), Carrie Fernanders, Vonnie Gwen, Betty Lopez and Rena Fernanders, all of Winston Salem, N.C., Levon Murray (Larry) of Mooresboro, N.C., Peggy Ingram (Dennis) and Barbara Wyrick, (Michael), all of Kernersville, N.C., Pamela Camp (Timothy) and Shirley Manning (Jeff) of Gaffney; nine uncles, John Fernanders, James Fernanders, Kelvin Fernanders (Washina), Marion Fernanders, Romain Fernanders, Bobby Fernanders (Betty), all of Gaffney, Larry Curtis (Valentine) and Charles Curtis (Elizabeth), both of High Point, N.C., and Michael Curtis (Tonya) of Jamestown, N.C.; and a host of other relatives.

Service will be held Tuesday, March 16, at 2:30 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church with the Revs. Freddy Davidson, Bobby Wilson and Minister Laquanda Brannon officiating. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 1:30 p.m.

The family is at the home of Carolyn Fernanders, 221 Connecticut Ave.
