Lauren Ashley Motts and C. Brett Clary Keith Motts of Gaffney and Bryan and Pauline Hudson of Blacksburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Ashley Motts, to Christopher Brett Clary of Gaffney.

Miss Motts is the granddaughter of Ken and Agnes Harrill of Gaffney and the late Harold and Tess Motts. She graduated in 2005 from Gaffney High School and received an Associates degree in Accounting from Spartanburg Community College. She is employed by the City of Gaffney.

Mr. Clary is the son of Alan and Karen Morris of Gaffney and grandson of Barbara Nance of Gaffney and Jerry and Charlene Nance of Union. He graduated in 2003 from Gaffney High School and is a lineman with the Gaffney Board of Public Works.

A May 1 wedding is planned at New Harvest Church of God.
