The Cherokee County Democratic Party announced that the spring 2010 Cherokee County Democratic Convention will be held on Saturday, March 20, at 2 p.m. in the Gaffney Middle School gymnasium.

Fifth District Congressman John Spratt will be the keynote speaker for the convention.

The Cherokee County Democratic Party wishes to invite visitors from Cherokee County, regardless of their political affiliation, to attend the convention to hear Representative John Spratt speak.

Also, Democrats who had a conflict and could not attend the precinct meetings may make arrangements to attend the convention as voting delegates by calling County Party Chairman Dr. Olin Huffman at 838-4468 no later than Friday, March 19, at 5 p.m.

Persons who are interested in filing to run for office in the Democratic primary may make arrangements to file by also calling Dr. Huffman at the same number.
