USCU honors local Junior Scholars
UNION – The University of South Carolina Union held its annual Junior Scholars’ program on Thursday, March 11, at 7 p.m. on the USCU campus.
More than 120 Upstate high school juniors were nominated for this distinction by their high school guidance counselor. This year’s keynote speaker was South Carolina Attorney and USC Board of Trustees member Leah B. Moody. After the program, guests were invited a reception in honor of the Junior Scholars.
Students from Gaffney High School who received this recognition included Mackensie Grant, Inman Love, Kabrina Cureton, James Blanton, Casey Goins, James Gregg, Timothy Davis, Zapporyia Belk, Ashlee Tate, Brandy Maynor, Zaria Brown and Jasmine Smith.
Students from Blacksburg
who received the recognition were Holland
Hammett, Lauren Roberts, Clay Buckner, Taci Bolin and Savanna Greene.
