Cecil M. Pitts

COWPENS – Cecil Miles Pitts, 44, of 4827 S. Main St., passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at his residence.

Mr. Pitts was born in Atlanta, Ga., on Jan. 12, 1966, and was the son of the late Artie Pitts and Linda Sue Pittman Ruppe. He was the husband of Jan Marie Bowlin Pitts, a member of Clifton First Baptist Church, and a machinist by trade.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jennifer Noelle Pitts of Mayo and Heather Nichole Cobb of Gaffney; two sons, Joshua Miles Pitts of Cowpens and Blake Edward Ross Pitts of the home: two grandsons, James David Cobb and Tyler Lee Cobb, both of Gaffney; a sister, Annette Crowder of Griffin, Ga.; three brothers, Tommy Pitts of Spartanburg, Christopher Abjornson Hurd of Charleston and Wally Willard of Cowpens; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Mr. Pitts was also preceded in death by his grandmother, Mother Pittman.

A memorial service will held Sunday, March 21, at 2 p.m. at Clifton First Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Mike Bradley.
