Eric Gene French, 40, of 402 Little Egypt Road, formerly of Athens, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at his residence.
Born in Athens, Ohio, he was the son of Dolly Adams Newsome and husband, Don, of Gaffney and Larry French and wife, Monna, of Albany, Ohio.
In addition to his parents and step-parents, he is survived by two sisters, Lee Ann Baker and husband, Steve, of Gaffney and Macie French of Albany, Ohio; three stepbrothers, Don Newsome and wife, Kathy, of Kingston, Ohio, John Newsome and wife, Kim, of Chillicothe, Ohio and Mac Tabler of Albany, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles, as well as grandparents, Evagene (Tiny) Risley of The Plains and Gene and Marie French of Athens.
He was preceded in death by a step-sister, Maggie Tabler; an aunt, Dawn French Moore; and three uncles, William Adams, Don Adams and Ron Adams.
The family will receive friends Saturday, May 15, from 12-2 p.m. at Jagers Funeral Home in Athens, Ohio. Memorial services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. in the Jagers Funeral Home Chapel.
