Robert F. Peeler
Robert Fay Peeler, 71, of 145 Cedar Post Road, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010, at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, Mr. Peeler was the husband of Mary E. Peeler and son of the late John Rufus Peeler and the late Edna Sellars Peeler. He worked at the A.P. McCauley Company, and retired from the Cherokee County Solid Waste Department after 24 years of service (1978- 2002). Mr. Peeler attended Midway Baptist Church.
He is survived, in addition to his wife, by a daughter, Edna “Sissy” Pierce of Gaffney; three sons, Wayne Peeler, Brian Peeler and Kelvin Shawn Peeler, all of Gaffney; a sister, Betty Seals and husband, Jay, of Gaffney; a brother, John M. Peeler of Gaffney; 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Peeler will be Wednesday, June 9, from 10- 11 a.m. in the chapel of Shuford- Hatcher Funeral Home at Frederick Memorial Gardens. Services will immediately follow at 11 a.m., also in the chapel, conducted by the Rev. Phillip Gallman and Dr. Clyde Thomas. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
The family will be at the residence, 145 Cedar Post Road.
