GLT’s production of ‘The Foreigner’ is a wild and crazy, hilarious romp

Craziness begets craziness.

This is the moniker for the Gaffney Little Theatre's production of “The Foreigner,” set for four performances June 17, 18 and 19 at 7:30 p.m. and June 20 at 3 p.m.

In this comical romp, the scene is a fishing village in rural Georgia, visited by "Froggie" LeSeuer, a British demolition expert who occasionally runs training exercises at a nearby military base. This time Froggie has brought along a friend, a pathologically shy young man named Charlie. Froggie tells everyone that Charlie is from an exotic country and speaks no English. Charlie overhears more than he should about sinister evil plans and the fun begins.

The role of Froggie is expertly played by Brendan Franks while Zachary Sampson takes on the role of Charlie.

Other cast members are Joey Mayberry as Ellard, LaDonna White as Betty, Michael Campbell as David, Melissa Scott as Catherine, and Dan Herrin as Owen.

Susan Baxter-Ferguson is director of the hilarious show. For reservations, call 864-489-4589.
