Salvation Army officers say thank you and goodbye

Dear Editor:

My wife and I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all your love and support during our tenure here.

You have been amazing and supportive not only to the two of us, but most importantly to The Salvation Army. With the help of the community we have seen countless lives changed for the better. It’s hard to believe that three years have come and gone so quickly.

We never know what God has in store for us from day to day, but we do know that the one who calls us is faithful and He is now calling us to work in another part of His vineyard in Rockingham County, N.C.

As we leave, we pray that in some small way we have been able to convey the love of Christ to you and that we have been able to make a difference in some small way here in the community.

We are leaving with gratitude in our hearts for having been able to serve alongside each of you and we take with us precious memories of the people, events and generosity of Cherokee County residents.

Please know that you will be in good hands as God has appointed Captains Mark and Sherry Czanderna to take the reins effective June 23.

It is our prayer that you will continue to support The Salvation Army and the new officers.

In His service, Captains Robbie & Sharon Robbins

The Salvation Army

Gaffney, S.C.
