Miss Hendrix, Mr. Finley exchange vows May 29

MR. AND MRS. ANDREW DAVID FINLEY MR. AND MRS. ANDREW DAVID FINLEY Rebecca Christine Hendrix and Andrew David Finley were united in marriage May 29, 2010, at the Great Aunt Stella Center in Charlotte, N.C., with the Rev. Paul Cooper, uncle of the groom, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. William T. and Charlotte Leitner Hendrix of Fort Mill and granddaughter of the late Dr. William T. and Mary Parker Hendrix of Spartanburg and the late Christian E. and Lottie Riley Leitner of Winnsboro. Standing in for the bride’s grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. William J. Riley, great uncle and great aunt of the bride, of Blythewood.

The groom is the son of David E. and Connie Cooper Finley of Powdersville and grandson of William R. Cooper Sr. and the late Catherine Bradshaw Cooper of Donalds and the late Calvin Emmett and Clara Hammett Finley of Ware Shoals.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. A program of wedding music was provided by Alan Ladd of Anderson.

Dr. Emily Hendrix, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride – Cameron Beaty of Seneca, Rebecca Bedenbaugh of Greenville, Katie Wright of Greensboro, N.C., and Andrea Finley of Powdersville, sister of the groom.

The father of the groom was best man. Groomsmen were Frank Brookshire III, Cody Parks, Dr. Chris James all of Powdersville, and William T. Hendrix III of Raleigh, N.C., brother of the bride.

Assisting with the wedding were David and Bea Beaty of Rock Hill, Nancy Wilburn and Kit Frazer, both of Chester.

A reception, hosted by the bride’s parents, was held at the Great Aunt Stella Center.

The bride is a graduate of Clemson University with a B.S, degree in Biology. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston.

The groom graduated from Clemson University with a B.A. degree in Chemistry and is studying to become a Doctor of Pharmacy at the Medical University of South Carolina at Charleston.

After a wedding trip to the British Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Charleston.
