The Gaffney Post 109 Junior American Legion game against visiting York was rained out Tuesday and will be played today at 7 p.m. at Commissioners Field.

The Cherokee County Gamecock Club will hold its golf tournament on Saturday, July 17, at the Gaffney Country Club with tee off time at 9 a.m.

The event's special guests will be offensive line coach, Shawn Elliott, Gamecock Club Director Patrick McFarland and Assistant Gamecock Club Director and former basketball player Aaron Lucas.

The tournament will be a captain 's choice with an entry fee of $200 per team. Awards will be for first and second place net score. Meals and beverages will be provided.

Booster club to sell

ads for scoreboard

The officers and board of the Gaffney High School Football Booster Club will be selling advertising space for both electronic scoreboards at The Reservation for the 2010 football season until July 2.
