The Youth Ministry of Limestone Missionary Baptist Church will have its annual youth revival June 21-23 at 7 p.m. Speaker will be the Rev. Sean Dogan, pastor of Long Branch Baptist Church, Greenville.
Nazareth Baptist Church, 1156 Ninety Nine Island Road, Blacksburg, will have homecoming services on Sunday, June 27, at 10:30 a.m.
Back on Track with Chris McDaniel will be special guests. Chris spent more than 15 years as a member of the country music group Confederate Railroad.
The Women’s Ministry of Limestone Missionary Baptist Church will have its fifth annual women’s conference June 25-27. Everyone is invited.
The theme is “Praise is a Family Affair” and the schedule includes: Friday, June 25, 6 p.m, Minister Teresa Black of New Salem Zion Baptist, Pacolet; Saturday, June 26, 9 a.m., Pastor Caroline Jones, Greater Hope Church, Gaffney (breakfast will be served); Sunday, June 27, 3 p.m., Minister Audrey Hailstock, New Day Baptist, Spartanburg (dinner will be served).
Door prizes will be awarded.
Vicar Emily Edenfield of Circle of Grace Lutheran Church will hold Bible study at 10 a.m. on June 23 inside McDonald’s on Floyd Baker Boulevard.
The public is invited to join in the continuing study on the book of Romans.
The Inspirational Choir of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 15th anniversary on Sunday, June 27, at 4 p.m.

”SonQuest Rain Forest” — follow Jesus on a life-changing adventure!,” is the theme for this year’s Vacation Bible School at Bethany Baptist Church.
Kids and youth can gather for this VBS rain forest exploration Monday, June 21, through Friday, June 25, from 6- 8:30 p.m.
Children from babies to teenagers are invited to join Vacation Bible School.
The week long Bible school will be based off five key verses, encouraging participants to “Get It!”, “Get Found,” “Get God’s Love,” “Get Praying,” and “Get Going.”
A meal will also be served each evening.
VBS activities will conclude Sunday, June 27, with a commencement ceremony at 6 p.m. followed by a meal and fellowship for all.

The New Mt. Zion Baptist Church Junior Missionary annual Rainbow Tea will be held Saturday, June 26 at 5 p.m.
Bryant Starnes and guests from Shiloh A.M.E. Zion Church of Grover, N.C., will be guest speakers for the event.
Family reunion
The Wylie family reunion is planned for 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 27, at Buffalo Baptist Church in Blacksburg. Attendees are asked to bring food and beverages.

4th of July events
Hopewell Baptist Church, 511 Old Chester Road, Blacksburg, will have its annual July 4th celebration on Saturday July 3, from 7 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. (rain make-up date Saturday, July 10). Free hot dogs will be served as long as they last from 7-8 p.m. and a blow-up bounce house will be available for kids.
Games including ring toss, tic-tac toss, lollipop tree, fishing games, lucky duck, corn hole, basketball shot, football toss with prizes. A gospel singing will be held from 7-9 p.m. with fireworks set to end the festivities at 9 p.m. Everything is free and the public is invited to come join the fun.
Senior Center
events
The Senior Center is offering a Cricut Cake Personal Electronic Cutter demo on June 26 from 10 a.m. to noon. This design system is specifically for designing cakes, cupcakes, cookies and confections — making crafting sweeter than ever!
It is also compatible with existing Cricut cartridges. Cost is $10.

Public notice
Effective July 6, the Cherokee County Landfill Convenient Center, located at 192 Lemuels Road, will be open from 7:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Dumping will only be allowed during these set times.
The Cherokee County Solid Waste Collection and Landfill Departments will be closed Monday, July 5, in observance of the 4th of July holiday. Excess garbage will be picked up Monday, July 12.
